"Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock:
And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it."

I use to love singing that song as a child, and I bet I still would. I know that you have been facing storms so close to home lately. But I know with your firm foundation of testimony in Christ, that you are inmovable. Your strong spirit shines through your words and thoughts and deeds.
Thank you and I hope all is well there.
i will have to be honest, jenn... i wasn't built on a rock; but, thankfully, God hired the BEST mover to transplant me over to a pretty darn sturdy one!!!
i just love that GOD of mine:D
love,
dani
What I LOVE about that scripture is the tie in between NOT just HEARING the word, but doing it!!
I too wasnt born on the rock.... but grateful I learned to feel where the foundation was, and wise enough to stop wandering and build when I heard it!
Wonderful. I need to check if my rock is still there? Am I still Doing? M
I have found that I need to repair my foundation sometimes. It's sad but I let it get cracks in it once in a while. I hope Old Gustaf is minding his manners for you.
My foundation is weak right now. As I know we need to be attending church, some things have happened with our family. And we are not attending any more. Although I have a testimony of the gospel. The people are sick in our ward from a very contagious case of gossip. Which most of what is being said is not the truth. I have said plenty. Thanks for the inspiring thought.
I cam by to let you know I would like to give you a Brillante Blog award. I have enjoyed reading your blog right from the start. Just come over to my blog to recieve it.
